Alan Cadiz

Alan Cadiz, an accomplished World Cup Pro, founded Maui’s premier windsurfing school in 1985, filling the need for performance lessons on the Valley Isle. Using his knowledge and expertise, Alan continues to bring windsurfing, wingfoiling,  kitesurfing and stand-up-paddle foiling instruction to the highest level.

Alan Cadiz began wingfoiling at the very inception of the sport on Maui. With a lifetime of surfing, sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing experience, wingfoiling came naturally. Alan and HST quickly set the standard for professional wingfoiling instruction on Maui. With more than 40 years of experience teaching wind and water sports, Alan and his exceptional staff of trained instructors, bring an unparalleled depth of knowledge and teaching expertise to every lesson.

HST is a family-run business, and your first contact will likely be Alan’s wife, Patti. She came to Maui in 1986 to learn to windsurf and has been immersed in Maui’s wind and water sports ever since. Today, she’s an avid wingfoiler herself. Patti can answer your questions about lessons, help you decide what’s right for you, and share her knowledge about just about anything Maui.
